A Spanish professional president of the FEDIAF

Earlier this summer, FEDIAF European Pet Food welcomed its new President, Rosa Carbonell, Director of Veterinary Advocacy Europe, Nestlé Purina.

Rosa will work alongside the FEDIAF team to guide the European pet industry for the next two years.

With more than 20 years of experience in the Pet Care industry in food and pharmaceuticals for pets, Rosa also has a track record in national trade associations and in the IESE women's management forum.

Rosa has a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, an MBA from the University of Girona and a Management Development Program (PDD) from the IESE Business School. Rosa has excellent technical knowledge and has helped lead the FEDIAF review committee in recent years.

“I feel honored to assume this position as President of FEDIAF and I am aware of the duty that represents our members. I look forward to working with the team to ensure that our industry can meet the demands of the 90 million households in the EU who require safe, nutritious food that contributes to the health and well-being of pets.

We will continue to work closely with EU policy makers to ensure that our concerns are heard and taken into account.

It is critical that important legislative decisions, such as the discussion on the use of category 3 animal fats, are taken with caution and consider the full cycle of sustainability that includes pet food.”

Alice Tempel Costa, FEDIAF's technical director, adds that they are delighted to have Rosa on board.
